Fashion isn’t always about restraint and minimalist styles. Some brands, in their pursuit of audacity, take things too far. The editors of the online magazine “Fashion Illiteracy” have compiled a selection of the Top 5 items that let you achieve a look so stylish it’s absurd.
Gucci Distressed Tights

Throughout history, a run in your tights has been a real headache for women. However, the Italian brand Gucci took a different approach by intentionally creating ripped tights. They’ll set you back $190. It’s cheaper, of course, to tear up a regular pair in a similar manner, but it won’t be quite the same.
Dirty Jeans

Gucci also introduced a line of unconventional denim for sale. Do you want to look like you just rolled around in the grass? The designers are confident that’s the look you’re after. What’s more, you’ll have to shell out about $770 for these “dirty” jeans.
Painter’s Overalls

However, Gucci isn’t alone in offering such items. Construction enthusiasts will surely appreciate the paint-splattered overalls from Ralph Lauren. They make it look as if the wearer is a real painter. True, painting walls is unlikely to earn you the extra £620 or $760 needed to buy a pair.
Granny’s Sundress

This graceful dress from Yves Saint Laurent may seem simple or unassuming. However, internet users have noticed its uncanny resemblance to the sundresses commonly worn by grandmothers. While less costly alternatives exist, YSL’s version costs as much as 1,500 euros.
Fashionable to the Point of Absurdity: Crocs

Crocs are affordable and well-known shoes, highly convenient in many ways. Originally designed in the early 2000s with a focus on their non-slip properties for use on boats and yachts. However, somewhere along the line, something went awry, and now Crocs have become a trendy high-fashion item. They’re worn by celebrities and people on the streets who have nothing to do with boats. Objectively speaking, however, such shoes defy traditional fashion concepts.
Let’s not forget that we have previously published an article about the history of Victoria’s Secret.
